BL Bioscouring Enzyme produced from a selected strain of fungal species. It is a ready to use formulation manufactured to specifications that fill the needs of Fabric Processors. BL BioScour is used for bio-scouring of cellulosic fabrics under alkaline conditions. It hydrolyzes pectin and associated hemicellulose matter from the fabrics thus assisting in eco-friendly removal of waxes and other impurities. The impurities are removed by combined mechanical agitation of the fabric and the enzymatic action thus eliminating the need for harsh chemicals while saving water and energy.

The bleaching of textile fabric or yarn, with hydrogen peroxide is most common today. Post bleaching, the residual hydrogen peroxide is left in bath and needs to be completely removed prior to dyeing process in a step called “Bleach Clean Up”.
Incomplete hydrogen peroxide removal can result in poor dyeing with distinct change of colour shade and intensity, as well as patchy, inconsistent dye distribution. This makes a fairly new fabric look old and worn. Therefore, it becomes necessary to remove the residual hydrogen peroxide by means of bleach clean-up process with the aid of BL Catalase enzyme
